History
The Kansas City String Quartet Program™ was founded in 1994 by Elizabeth A. LaManna, cellist and music educator dedicated to the art and experience of chamber music. As executive and artistic director, LaManna ran the program through summer 1999. Elizabeth Suh-Lane joined the faculty as first violin in 1999 and has been Artistic Director since 2000. The String Quartet Program awakens young string players to the essence of music-making through quartet playing, while developing their musical skills.
